You can transfer increments of 1,000 Citi points into 1,400 Turkish miles through 8/31 at 4:59pm ET. You can earn up to 50K bonus miles, so you’ll earn the bonus on transfers up to 125K Citi points for 175K Turkish miles.

The bonus miles will post after the end of the promo.

Disclaimer: Turkish Airlines is controlled by the country of Turkey. I’m not going to get into the ethics and politics about whether you should be using Turkish miles, if it means savings on United travel. I’ll just discuss what’s possible to do, and everyone can make their own decisions or ask a trusted source of guidance about what to do with that information.

Turkish miles have been massively devalued in recent years, but there can still be some decent redemptions on Star Alliance carriers like United with no fuel surcharges and a 40% bonus,

Note that award availability when using United miles, especially for United cardholders, will be much better than with partner miles.

But there are some decent deals with Turkish miles. For example, after the 40% bonus,

Domestic economy will be ~10,714 Citi points:

That includes flights to Alaska:

Domestic first class will be ~16,071 Citi points:

Coach to Hawaii will be ~17,857 Citi points:

Coach to Europe Zone 1 will be ~35,714 Citi points:

Coach to the Middle East will be ~41,428 Citi points:

Coach to Northern Africa or India will be ~42,857 Citi points:

Coach to Southern Africa or Asia will be ~53,571 Citi points:
