Those are famous political quotes and ideas from throughout history. (Proudhon and Che, fwiw.) Which is what the book is about. Just because someone said them doesn't mean they're right (or wrong).

Its necessary these days, the assumptions of no bias do not work without disclosure now, the authors behind this are libertarian at best, actively left wing at worst, no conservatives on the panel as expected.

Lol, it's not banned from schools. Schools are banned from reading it in a proscriptive manner. Pesky first amendment and all that. However, some school districts have banned it because it discusses sex, which is a no-no in those districts. I'm not positive, but I'm guessing conservatives passed those particular rules which led to the ban.

The reasons they used were in obvious bad faith considering what they tried to inject into the curriculum instead which was all forms of vulgarity.
