If you’re not wanting to venture far from home, here’s a way to keep it cool and close to home or wherever you roam.
Resort Pass gives you a chance to spend a day poolside in a fancy resort or hotel for as low as $25. This might make a fun day trip for the girls, the guys (bachelors/bachelorettes), a romantic day out in a private and swanky cabana, or just a day of solo pampering. In addition to a Day Pass, select hotels and resorts offer a Work Pass that includes a room for the day (morning to evening) along with pool privileges. It’s a fun option should you have budget overnight digs and want to experience a 4- or 5-star property and the amenities.
Choose from over 1,000 hotels in 250 cities across 35 states. The participating properties can be found in Atlanta and various locations in Hawaii, Arizona, California, and Texas — and including New York City.
Most recently, Resort Pass has added Hilton to its hotel lineup. Get ready for a good time at the Hilton West Palm Beach, a luxury hotel just 2 miles from Florida’s world-famous beaches. Make a splash in the resort-style pool, break a sweat in the fitness center with Peloton bikes, or play lawn games. Grab a seat at the poolside bar and grill, La Playa and sip tropical coconut cocktails under the Florida sunshine. Enjoy live DJ entertainment on Saturdays. For a more luxurious experience, book a private shaded poolside cabana with a flatscreen TV and refrigerator. The pass is $25 for adults and $20 for kids.
You can also opt for a shaded luxury poolside cabana for up to 6 people, or a double cabana with even more amenities!
Other options include:
- Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort from $135 per person
- Hilton Orlando from $30 per person
- Hilton Waikoloa Village from $50 per person
- Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Orlando from $40 per person
- Grand Hyatt in Atlanta from $40 per person
- Andaz West Hollywood from $39 per person
Note that parking fees may be additional.
ResortPass now partners with Marriott to offer hotel day access experiences without paying crazy high rates for an overnight stay. Marriott stays include highly coveted resort locations across the Caribbean and the U.S., with a vast array of spa, pool, and wellness experiences for day consumers. Some of the newly added properties include:
- The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands: A day pass grants access to the hotel’s beach, an outdoor heated family pool with a waterslide, a separate outdoor heated infinity pool, a splash pad, beach and lounge chairs, and WiFi. The pass is $150 for visitors. Parents can also add a Ritz Kids’ Club reservation during checkout, which includes supervised activities and lunch for children ages 4 to 12.
- Sanctuary Cap Cana, Dominican Republic: A $200 all-inclusive day pass includes an outdoor pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean, beach access, towels, lounge and beach chairs, WiFi, and unlimited food and beverages.
- Hotel Rumbao, San Juan, Puerto Rico: Open after a stunning $30 million transformation, this hotel is the newest Tribute Portfolio hotel by Marriott, located in the heart of Old San Juan. Day passes are $40 and include use of the fitness center, rooftop pool, and hot tub.
Currently, Resort Pass is offering up to 30% off spa services at various properties. Check out the options here! This deal ends on August 31.
Daycationapp.com is another source for day spa and pool days. Although not as extensive a list, selections are offered in both domestic and international locations — such as Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the BVI’s, Mexico, the Bahamas and a few Caribbean islands.
Each property will have its own cancel policy, but most offer a free cancellation (full credit; not a full refund) made the night before your booked date (before midnight). If you must cancel a reservation, ResortPass.com and DaycationApp.com will keep track of the credit in your account to use for future use.
Additionally, per person rates will vary depending on peak or off-peak seasons and/or day of the week (weekdays are likely to be the least expensive). No outside coolers, food or drinks allowed. Many a la carte options such as food, beverages and activities require a separate purchase (debit cards are not accepted).
