Update: NYC’s Mike’s Bistro will go live on Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables on August 27th! It will qualify for a $150 credit every January-June and a $150 credit every July-December. Hopefully it will be the first of several kosher options!
Can’t make it in? Mike’s plans on selling gift cards online that will qualify for the credit as well, that you can save up until you can make it.
As with AMEX’s Resy credit, you just need to use your card at an eligible restaurant to receive the credit, there is no need to make a reservation to get credited.
Being able to take advantage of a $300 annual dining credit, on top of all of the card’s other credits and benefits, will make it much easier to justify opening and renewing the Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card.
Mike Gershkovich opened Mike’s Bistro in 2004, the same year that I started DansDeals. Not many restaurants make it that long, but Mike’s has stood the test of time by not only keeping the quality up, but improving like a fine wine.
JJ and I were at Mike’s celebrating the good news a couple of weeks ago, and let me tell you, his famous short ribs, duck gnocchi, merguez dumplings, and corn soup are all better than ever!
Mike may get mad at me for this, but off-menu drinks like a Passion Fruit Pina Colada Daiquiri also hit the spot on a warm summer night!

Last September, I chatted with Sam Palmer, the general manager for Chase Sapphire, about the Sapphire Reserve refresh.
I shared feedback on a variety of issues, including the lack of kosher options in Sapphire Lounges and in the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables network. He promised to make some calls and make it a priority to see what could be done.
Just a few weeks after our conversation, Chase added kosher meals to their Boston, LaGuardia, and Philadelphia Sapphire lounges. (Earlier this year, after DansDeals lobbying, AMEX did the same in their NYC lounges).
Adding kosher restaurants to Sapphire Tables was always going to be more complex, as it’s a partnership between Chase, OpenTable, and local restaurants.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card provides a $150 Sapphire Tables credit every January-June and every July-December, for a $300 annual value. You can buy gift cards for qualifying restaurants, which helps you save up the credits for a nice night out. There are currently no kosher restaurants on the list, which has hurt the card’s value proposition for kosher-observant cardholders. You can read more about the card here.
It’s worth noting that the Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Card does not have a Sapphire Tables credit, as it offers business credits instead.
I have followed up about the status of adding kosher restaurants a few times, and several weeks ago at Chase’s request, I helped put together a list of potential kosher restaurant partnership options from coast to coast.
And now I’ve just heard back from one of my favorite kosher restaurants in NYC, whose information I sent to Chase, that they have just signed on to join the Sapphire Tables network! The restaurant reached out to me after last year’s article to see how they could join Sapphire Tables, and I’m thrilled that it will now come to fruition.
They hope to officially launch this summer, which is fantastic news. Hopefully it will be the first of several kosher options made available for the credit.
A $300 annual kosher restaurant credit will go a long way to help justify the Sapphire Reserve’s hefty $795 annual fee. Other card perks and credits include a $300 annual travel credit, a $300 annual Stubhub credit, a $500 annual The Edit hotel credit, a $250 bonus hotel credit for 2026, Apple TV+ and Apple Music subscriptions, Doordash, Lyft, and Peleton credits, Global Entry/NEXUS/PreCheck, Sapphire, Air Canada, and Priority Pass lounge access, roadside assistance, IHG Platinum status, Points Boost, transfers to all partners, including Hyatt, at full value, and more.
