Update: Tock is being merged into Resy, and Tock restaurants are being phased in for the $100 quarterly Platinum Resy dining credit, which will bring over 25K restaurants onto the platform.

Last week’s refresh of The Platinum Card® from American Express added a ton of awesome new benefits to the Consumer Platinum card, including a $100 quarterly credit at restaurants that accept reservations on Resy. You can also buy gift cards from an eligible restaurant in-store or online.

Note that the Resy credit isn’t valid on the The Business Platinum Card® from American Express.

There is no need to have a Resy account or make a reservation via Resy to earn the credit. As long as the restaurant takes reservations on Resy, any spending at the restaurant or on the restaurant’s website will trigger the credit. Spending via DoorDash, Grubhub or Uber will not trigger the credit.

Quarters run from January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December, so there are just a few days left to take advantage of the Q3 credit.

You will have to enroll once for this credit here, and then you won’t have to register again on the same card.

On September 18th, I registered and bought a $100 Mendel’s KC BBQ eGift card. About a week later, a $100 credit posted to my account.

You can find kosher restaurants on Resy and restaurants with eligible gift cards on DDF here. That way you can stack up your credits for a larger bill!

Chicago’s Milt’s BBQ was one of the original kosher BBQ joints and is still cranking out all of the favorites.

We had the excellent Yaffah Kalvana (as beautiful as the moon, get it?), a kohlrabi ravioli with the almond and cashew cheese, and topped with black truffle:

Barrel Wine & Cheese

Hallandale Beach’s Barrel Wine & Cheese near Miami is the only kosher restaurant of its kind outside of Israel! It is an adults 21+ only location with over 40 varieties of wine on tap. You can select a taster, half glass, or full glass portion of a huge variety of wines.

They also have scrumptious cholov yisroel milchig dishes and incredible cheese boards available for dining. They invited my wife and me (JJ) here for dinner, and it was probably the most fun we’ve ever had at a restaurant. The vibe is very conducive for a fun and relaxing night out!
