You need to email or contact the restaurants to receive the gift cards, as per the instructions on the menu. After ordering from the same restaurant multiple times, you may get locked out for a period of time. You can still try ordering from another restaurant, or you can wait a day or 2 and try again.

Update, 6/23: It appears that Paze Checkout is no longer an option for restaurant gift cards, but you can still order food from restaurants via Paze.

On Monday morning, DansDeals broke the news that you could use Paze Checkout for tons of free stuff, such as gift cards to dozens of 3rd party stores. We also confirmed with Paze that gift card purchases would qualify for the promotion.

Each eligible credit or debit card can be used 10 times for a $10 credit with each transaction, for a total of $100 cash back per eligible card. It will take up to 2 billing cycles for the credits to post to your account.

That promo stacked nicely with a 10 bonus points per dollar promotion from Chase when using Paze.

Newegg in particular was hit hard by the promos, with an avalanche of orders for $10 3rd party gift cards and their own $10 gift cards. Unsurprisingly, by Tuesday, those options were no longer eligible to be purchased with Paze. Paze explained to DansDeals why those purchases would no longer be eligible going forward, but that previous purchases would be honored. The 10 bonus points per dollar at Newegg was also modified to end after 6/29.

You can still use the offer to load your Dunkin account balance or to buy items from other stores that accept Paze. Thanks to having dozens of eligible cards, I’m the proud owner of thousands of dollars in gift cards, which will hopefully all be refunded as promised in the coming months.

Another option is ordering online from restaurants that use Clover, as Clover allows you to pay with Paze at checkout.

Not many kosher restaurants are on Clover, but a few do. I don’t expect this to last long, so take advantage while you can!

Luckily, you don’t need to pull out a bunch of $10 gift cards to pay at a restaurant. A nice feature about Clover is that you can pay for gift cards with gift cards to get one larger gift card. You can merge together multiple cards, or you can just use this strategy to buy them:

Buy a $10 gift card with Paze.
Buy a $20 gift card, apply the previous $10 code, and pay the remaining $10 balance with Paze.
Buy a $30 gift card, apply the previous $20 code, and pay the remaining $10 balance with Paze:

Etc…Buy a $80 gift card, apply the previous $70 code, and pay the remaining $10 balance with Paze.

Alas, after buying about $80 or $90 of gift cards, the system started bugging out. I was able to buy another in an incognito window, but then got errors there too. I was able to buy another $80 in gift cards for another restaurant before that one gave errors as well. I was able to buy a couple more after waiting an hour. Reports are that the block should also reset after 24 hours or so, so just keep trying!

Here are some kosher restaurants that allow ordering Clover, though there are likely many more. Always confirm kosher certification before ordering. Restaurants offering gift cards are listed in bold. It’s surprising that so few offer gift cards, do they not want an interest-free loan?
