A forewarning for people who are looking at the 60qt Latitude with wheels: they are pretty terrible quality!

A now unavailable color (Carolina Blue) was being cleared out at Target for $25, and I saw that on SlickDeals and bought it.

I was planning to replace an older (as in over 10 years old) Igloo MaxCold Island Breeze because it has a crack on the outside (one of the tie-downs, which the newer ones don't even have, had come off).

I already felt like the Latitude was terrible quality, even for $25, and I did test it out with cooling something. The lid is flimsy, the sides are thin, and it is just not good. I use my cooler several times a week, even for groceries, so I have a pretty good feel for this kind of thing, haha!

I already started my return and am going to do my best to repair my old MaxCold.

I would avoid Igloo's modern low-end and (if you don't want to pay a bunch more money for a premium model) just buy an older Igloo used locally if you can!

EDIT: Oh yes, and if you do go through Igloo's offerings, you will see that they still have MaxCold as their premium line now (around $200). I am pretty sure they used to be in the same price bracket that the Latitudes are in now. Sure enough, I went Googling, and saw a listing for them at Costco for $40 in 2016! So if anyone is wondering why I tried to replace a MaxCold with a Latitude, I hope this explains it. Around $50-60 today on sale, I would expect an Igloo to be the same as the one I bought back then!
