For books, sure. pdf, if they are not full of color pictures that the kindle won't reproduce anyway. Audiobooks, not really, it will only take a few, but who uses a kindle for audiobooks? Cell phones are much more convenient.

how long does Amazon usually disable Kindle services? My old Kindle just got phased out. I think I bought it around 10 years ago.
