Same here. No luck at Walmart. The employees also give the stink eye. But can I only use one card per money order? In other words, can I use two $200 cards to buy a $398 money order?

No, it’s best to get them in multiples of 300, can do for instance multiple $200 cards that add up to multiple of 300 and can get the discount multiple times.

This doesn’t appear to be a VISA or MasterCard question. Speak with your carrier and ask if the accept overpayments and process refunds. How many millions are you planning on overpaying? ♂️

My local office Depot store have a limit of $150 off
So 15 x $200 was the amount I could buy under that promotion
(There hard limit is $9,999.99 in gift cards per customer per day and max one transaction)

Was a bit nervous how this would add up with the increased fees on the cards but I rang up today $10 off for every $200 card, for a total of $1,187.70 for $1,200 worth of gift cards. Sweet deal.

The attraction here is that the purchase price of the gift cards is, with the Visa fee, less than the face value when purchased in $600 multiples. Additionally, the Chase Ink Business Cash card pays 5% on all purchases from office supply stores. The takeaway is that the Visa gift cards are purchased for about 94 cents on the dollar.

These are never in stock at either of the Office Depot’s near me. Why bother to advertise it if they are not in stock?
The person I spoke to yesterday said that they are stocked by a vendor once a month. That’s pretty ridiculous for something being promoted to get you into the store.

Office Depot/OfficeMax has instituted a 10-card maximum per transaction. It is non-negotiable and programmed into their transaction software.
So my 21 card purchase has to be backed out (I did not accept the total) and re-entered as 3 transactions: 9 cards, 9 cards, and 3 cards.

Nowhere. You’d like to buy up all the available cards until you’ve maxed out your line of credit, get the full cash back money amount, pay off your line of credit with the cash, and then start the process all over again. Right? Sorry, you don’t understand the offering.

No, i think you misunderstood me… i say “max out” referring to the 25k you can spend yearly in office supply stores to earn the full 5% on the ink business cash card. Now, true that that itself a big bonus but im asking if there’s a way to then “re cash” the gift cards back to cash again thereby gaining the $ back, but acquiring all those points along the way. Do you still think i misunderstood?
